Is This Real 925 Sterling Silver?
Yes. Our silver earrings are made with real 925 sterling silver, not silver-tone metal or simply plated jewelry.
925 sterling silver means the piece contains 92.5% pure silver, balanced with strengthening metals to make it suitable for everyday jewelry wear. It gives the jewelry its classic bright shine, lasting value, and timeless look.
Is It Nickel-Free and Safe for Sensitive Ears?
Yes. Our 925 sterling silver is nickel-free and gentle for most healed ears.
However, everyone’s skin is different. If your ears are newly pierced, extremely sensitive, or reactive to many metals, we recommend choosing our ASTM F136 titanium styles first. Titanium is the better choice for brand-new piercings, heavy sensitivity, and long-term 24/7 wear.
What Size Should I Choose?
Before placing your order, please review the on-ear photos and size details on the product page. Each variant is marked with its actual measurements, so you can better compare the look and choose the size that feels right for your ear.
Ears are not one-size-fits-all. Some customers prefer a smaller, closer fit, while others may like a slightly larger look or need more room depending on their lobe shape and piercing placement. A good fit should feel secure, comfortable, and not too tight against your skin.
Will Sterling Silver Tarnish or Turn Dark?
Real sterling silver may naturally darken over time when exposed to moisture, sweat, perfume, skincare products, or chemicals. This is a normal characteristic of genuine silver, not a sign that the jewelry is fake or poor quality.
For our gold-plated and platinum-plated silver styles, the surface finish helps slow down oxidation and provides better resistance to daily moisture and splashes. This means they are less likely to tarnish quickly compared with untreated sterling silver.
If your sterling silver piece starts to look darker, here are a few simple care tips:
For light tarnish: gently wipe it with a silver polishing cloth. This is the safest and easiest method for everyday care.
For heavier tarnish on unplated sterling silver: place a piece of aluminum foil at the bottom of a small bowl, add warm water and a small amount of baking soda, then let the silver sit for about 2–5 minutes. Rinse with clean water and dry it completely with a soft cloth.
Please avoid soaking gold-plated, platinum-plated, pearl, glued, or delicate stone pieces in cleaning mixtures, as this may affect the surface finish or setting. For plated styles, gentle wiping is usually the better choice.
To keep the shine longer, remove your silver earrings before swimming, bathing, or using a sauna, and store them dry after wear. Silver may need care over time, but that is also part of what makes it real — it can be refreshed, cared for, and kept.
Can I Shower, Swim, or Sleep in Sterling Silver Earrings?
We recommend removing sterling silver earrings before showering, swimming, bathing, or using a sauna.
Occasional splashes are usually fine, but long-term exposure to moisture, chlorine, salt water, sweat, and heat may speed up tarnishing. If you want earrings for showering, sleeping, workouts, or 24/7 wear, our ASTM F136 titanium styles are the better choice.
Sterling Silver or Titanium — Which One Should I Choose?
Both are good choices, but they are made for different needs.
Choose sterling silver if you want stronger design details, a brighter jewelry shine, and more statement-making styles. Some of our silver earrings come in slightly larger sizes, and some use a more traditional stud design, which may feel easier and more familiar to put on.
The trade-off is that silver needs a little more care. Sterling silver may naturally tarnish over time, and we recommend removing it before swimming, bathing, or long 24/7 wear.
Choose ASTM F136 titanium if your ears are sensitive, newly pierced, or you prefer something small, lightweight, and low-maintenance for long-term wear. Titanium is the better choice if you want to wear your earrings while sleeping, showering, swimming, or working out.
The trade-off is that many titanium styles use a flat back threaded design, which can take a little practice at first because you need to screw the front piece into the post. Once secured, it feels stable and comfortable for long-term wear.
In simple terms: silver is for shine, design, and easier styling; titanium is for sensitive ears, lighter wear, and lower-maintenance daily comfort.
