Before you design
How is the price worked out?
Your price is the setting plus your stone. The setting depends on the metal; the stone is priced by its size at $90 per carat. You see the full breakdown before checkout.

Why is the stone charged as an estimate?
Cut stones vary slightly in weight, so your stone is charged at the estimate. If it comes out lighter, we refund the difference; up to 10% heavier is on us.
Is the sketch exactly what I'll get?
The sketch is a concept. Before we make anything, we send you a 3D design to approve. Changes to the 3D design are free.
What if I change my mind?
- We send a 3D design: changes are free, or cancel for a full refund
- Cancel after changes: refund minus a $40 modelling fee
- After you approve the 3D design: 50% refund
- Finished-piece photos and video: free adjustments, 50% refund
- After you approve the finished piece: final sale
How long does it take?
About 4–5 weeks after you approve the 3D design — often sooner.
Which metals can I choose?
925 sterling silver, or 14K or 18K gold in yellow or rose. Gold settings aren't available in the UK and Europe yet.
What is lab-grown alexandrite?
Lab-grown alexandrite is real alexandrite, grown in a laboratory rather than mined. Its colour moves between teal-green and raspberry-purple with the light and the angle you view it from.
