Push pin flat back earrings use a thin 0.45 mm pin that slides into a dedicated flat back post and stays in place through tension and friction.

Many people feel threaded flat back earrings are more difficult to put on at first. Compared to push pin styles that simply slide into place, they can indeed take a little more practice for first-time wearers.

However, once you get used to the technique, threaded styles are generally more secure, durable, and reliable for long-term wear.
